After crossing a covered bridge the driveway passes in front of the house then loops around to the garage.
Plently of room for parking in addition to the garage...
The garage seems to be the normal way of entering the house
The basement is entered from a stairwell at the back of the garage. There's a workshop and laundry area
There's a large finished basement room underneath main portion of the house. Beyond this room is another.
There's a large finished basement room underneath main portion of the house. Beyond this room is another.
There are two utility rooms in the basement.
One enters the house from the garage into the family room. The kitchen is beyond the family room.
The kitchen is large and sunny, with lots of windows facing south. There's a breakfast area, pantry and space for a woodstove. Beyond the kitchen is the dining room.
The dining room has sliders out onto the deck on one side and opens into the living room on the other side. On the wall opposite the kitchen is the entrance to the in law apartment.
The main deck is accessed from the dining room, although the in law apartment's bedroom also has sliders onto this deck.
The living room has a fireplace. One end connects to the dining room, the other to the front hallway and stairs to the upstairs.
There's a hallway on the first floor with a half bath beneath a staircase leading to the second floor. At the top of the stairs is a linen closet.
At the top of the stairs on the left, over the family room, is the first bedroom.
to the right and more or less opposite the the stairs is a second bedroom.
down the upstairs hallway on the right is a bathroom.
The master bedroom is at the end of the upstairs hallway.
And of course there is a master bathroom, complete with walk in closet.
Back downstairs is the in law apartment. Entrance is from the dining room into it's great room. The whole apartment is a genuine post and beam structure. The apartment has it's own private porch on the west end of the house, which overlooks the bridge and river.
The bedroom is reached through a hallway witha full private bath on the left and a walk in closet on the right. It has two sliders, one onto the main deck shared and one onto the private deck.
One can see how the decks serve the house when the house is viewed from the rear.
The satellite view available from Google maps shows the entire property well.
The left picture is looking north, taken where the western end of the stone wall (that makes up the southern property boundary) meets the river. The right hand picture is taken looking to the east from where the east end of the stone wall meets the river.
To the north of the house is a large meadow, complete with pond!
The house even comes with truck and plow, which we'll certainly need.
