While wandering around the Temple of Karnak one of the local "Guides" asked repeatedly if I was interested in seeing a statue of a "Cobra Snake". I followed him to the north wall of the Karnak Complex, into the Temple of Ptah. (Above) Inside the very dark southern chapel I was shown this statue of Sekhmet. (Below) You'll note the Guide is holding a burning piece of cardboard to illuminate the statue for me.
