On baldface knob, just below South Baldface peak, we achieved the objective of both the hike and our week at Cold River. We spread grandfather's ashes on his favorite mountain, then erected a small cairn to mark the spot. It's got a lovely view of both Baldfaces, as well as the ravine in between.
