Acela ride to New York City

Our friend Brian arranged for a trip on the Acela for us!

We boarded at Route 128 and played cosmic wimpout most of the way to Penn Station. Once in New York we had lunch at the Stage Door deli. We walked up Eighth Avenue to Times Square then down Broadway to Herald Square. we cut through Macys and headed back to Penn Station to meet up with Brian. He took us to see the Long Island RR control center and yard. Brian then was kind enough to buy us all ice cream. After a brief rest it was time to head back to Boston with Brian on the Acela. Everyone got a chance to head the head end, which was VERY cool, especially when going 149 mph! Thank you VERY much, Brian!
