Monday, Day 3, saw us head north through the mountains toward Inverurie, Dad/Grandfather's birthplace!

We took the motorway North to Perth, then took to the backroads through the Grampian Mountains. We took short stops at Spittal of Glenshee and Braemar.

Next was a visit to the Kinghorns. We met David and Valerie at their house along with Alistair Auld. After a nice visit we followed Alistair north to Inverurie for lunch, then on to Bennachie. Alistair showed us a local glider port along the way.

Of course the point of going to Inverurie is to see where Dad/Grandfather was born. An aparment house now stands where his birth home was, but the commerical hotel next door is still there.
