Our Drive to a volcano and some falls along the way
Our first stop of our first day in Iceland was at a couple of waterfalls. The first was Seljalandsfoss.
After the falls we attempted to drive up to Eyjafjallajokull, the volcano that ruined our trip a year earlier. We made it surpisingly far up a dirt road, but not nearly as far as the two SUVs we had seen at Seljalandsfoss. They blew by us like we were standing still!
On our way out the ladies in our party stopped to express their sentiment to Eyjafjallajokull, the volcano that prevented our trip the previous year.
On the drive home we encountered several snow squalls.
