Waiau River Bridge

The road to Hanmer Springs is connected to the highway via a bridge over the Waiau River. As we approached the bridge after leaving Hanmer Springs we pulled off the road to take in the view of the gorge and bridge. We realized that there was a party preparing to bungy jump off the bridge, so we packed back into the campervan and rushed to the lodge adjacent to the bridge just in time to see the second of two jumpers take "the plunge".
