Maori Center in Rotorua

Lake Whakamaru

After spending the night at a campground next to the Waitomo caves we headed east for Rotorua, but not before stopping for a nice picnic lunch on lake Watamaru. (above) When we arrived at the Maori Cutlure and Art Center in Rotorua we attended a traditional welcoming ceremony. (below)

After touring the culture exhibits we walked around the thermal park, seeing steaming mudpots and the Prince of Wales Feather Geyser. (above)
