Just to the north of Kai Koura we passed a sign for the Ohua Point Seal Colony. We got out of the campervan to find a very nice area just above a rocky point inhabited by a large number of fur seals. Of particular interest was a pool formed in a depression of a large rock. (Below) It reminded us of a public swimming pool, with all the Moms lounging around the pool while the children played in the water. At one point we counted a dozen pups taking a "supervised swim" in this pool.
