And there it is, the cache! If it is not already a satellite view, click that tab in the upper right hand corner of the map window. Also, note that if the cache you have selected is not close to features easily identifiable on the satellite image this method is not going to allow you to find the cache. For instance, if the cache is in the middle of a featureless forest you’re not going to be able to find the location in the sea of trees visible in a satellite view. The one above will work just fine, however.

But we need something we can bring with us, and while this image is good, we can make it better. So let’s clean it up a bit, then import it into our word document. Why import it? Because you can’t print a satellite view from Google Maps, only a map view.

To clean up the image, close the balloon that marks the cache. Widen the satellite image window to show a larger area. Make the window full screen for the same reason.
