Dragging another coal train past the Kirkwood, Missouri station. These coal trains generally have about 130 coal cars, representing almost 50,000 tons of coal! They are drawn by two locomotives in front and a pusher, or DPU, at the rear. I calculate the train length to be over 6500 feet.
