N64339 - the Beirut Bomber

In the summer of 1985 N64339, operating as TWA flight 847, was hijacked and eventually flown to Beirut, where it sat with it's flight and cabin crew for two weeks. The passengers had been released earlier in the ordeal, sadly with the loss of one brave soul. The aircraft was eventually recovered by TWA and returned to service, where it was affectionately know as the "Beirut Bomber". It is seen here taxiing to the gate in St. Louis in the mid 1990s.
