TWA 707 Nose in the boneyard
As the airlines in the mid 1980s retired their 707 fleets the Air Force began buying them. The turbofan engines and hydraulically powered rudders were removed and placed on their KC-135 tankers. Suprisingly, some of these aircraft survive (if it can be called that) today in the AMARG or "boneyard".
